EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE
On Easter Sunday morning, we met Jesus rising like a phoenix from the horizon with 350 other people. And I have to say, this was probably my favorite Sunrise Eucharist yet! I asked everyone to make a giant circle around the altar for communion, while we sang Let Us Break Bread Together on our Knees. And as I waded through the sand distributing the bread of Christ, I was deeply struck with a vision of Jesus doing the same as he placed himself in everyone’s outstretched hands. And then the Son rose like a phoenix and we all sang, AMEN!
