SOCCER BALLS FOR BONDEAU!
Ryan Schlesinger (shown at right in the photo above), a fifth-grade student at St. Andrew's School, contacted me several weeks ago about his desire to make a difference in our Haiti ministry. He is working on a school project on equal access to sports. After talking with Deacon Faye Somers, School Chaplain at St. Andrew's, Ryan approached me with the idea of conducting a sports equipment drive for our school in Bondeau, Haiti. Knowing how much the Bondeau children love soccer, I suggested to Ryan collecting soccer balls. Last Monday, Ryan and his classmate Cooper (shown at left in the photo above) brought sixteen soccer balls to my office for transportation to Bondeau! This will bring immense joy to our school of 350 students! I am grateful for Ryan's leadership, initiative, and generous heart!
