MAKING A DIFFERENCE ONE HOUR AT A TIME

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to have limited access and conversations about God, His word and your own faith? This is the reality for one of our Youth Bible Study participants. His family and friends either do not believe in God or choose not to learn of Him. Though he lives out of state and has never been to our youth group in person. He signs in to Zoom each Thursday for the weekly Youth Bible Study led by youth leaders Sam Beavin and Hannah Sherman.

This teen has humbly shared with his peers that he looks forward to the one hour a week that he gets to explore his faith and learn about God. One hour a week! Pause and let that sink in. He has no other family or friends to discuss anything relating to God. Our time together in this Bible Study is powerful and meaningful. This is much more than just another youth event. This is our next generation of God's children receiving the Holy Spirit and knowing that they are called to give that same gift of Love to others. They do this daily, yes, but Thursdays at 7pm I get to witness God's Love pouring out of these teens in at times an overwhelming way.

Thanks be to God for these young hearts.
