GENTLE GIANT AND THE PATTON FAMILY

At St. Gregory's, we are blessed to support the Gentle Giant Foundation as they support us. Gentle Giant is a ministry that continues the work of Dr. Doyle Patton by providing high-quality mental health services to children and families facing financial hardship. Gentle Giant was founded in 2020 by Maria Lopez-Patton, Ph.D. in memory of her husband and beloved St. Gregory’s member, Doyle Patton. This life-giving foundation ensures that everyone has access to quality psychological and psychiatric care, regardless of their financial situation or healthcare coverage.

Gentle Giant enables Doyle Patton’s vision to carry on and flourish. Maria leads a team of expert doctors with dedication and compassion, specializing in evidence-based approaches to treat various mental health issues.

Additionally, Doyle and Maria's sons, Apollo, Eduardo, and Nicolas, along with their friend Jake Lechner, support the Gentle Giant Teen Division, founded in 2023. The teen division educates and empowers youth to be mental health advocates for themselves as well as their peers.

This Sunday, we eagerly invite you to join us for SOUPER Sunday in Harris Hall after the 10 am service. Enjoy a delicious selection of soups, including Chicken Vegetable Rice, Vegan Black Bean, Split Pea with Ham, and Mushroom Barley Soup, either dining with us or taking some home. All proceeds from the soup sales will support Gentle Giant's mission to provide affordable, quality mental health care for ALL. In addition to supporting this important ministry, your participation will help honor the legacy of Dr. Doyle Patton. For more information about Gentle Giant, please visit gentlegiant.org.
