CHRISTMAS EVE WORSHIP EXPERIENCE A MESSAGE FROM FATHER ANDREW

Dear Beloved Members,

We are joining Christians around the world in celebrating the birth of Jesus next week. Christmas worship-- with the joyous sounds of carols, the holy beauty of candlelight, the powerful words of scripture, the radiant beauty of the angelic chorus, and at, the center of it all, the tender vulnerability of the Christ child--moves our hearts and transforms our lives. I often feel a lifetime of Christmas worship flowing through me each and every Christmas.

I write this because this year will be different. Familiar and life-giving rhythms are disrupted; cherished traditions have been set aside. In recognition, we have worked with special diligence to prepare a virtual worship service on Christmas Eve full of grace and truth. It will not be the same but it will be glorious.

So let's create a new tradition--a "Covid-Christmas Tradition"--this year. Please join us for this virtual worship. The Holy Spirit will unite us all in love as we adore the Christ child! The gift this year offers is the gift to even more widely share this worship. My vision is that of the whole world looking, listening, worshipping together on Christmas Eve.

This week I was contacted by Boca Raton Regional Hospital's chaplain asking if they could share the link of this service with those in the hospital and their families. So, it's already starting. The word is spreading. Can you pass it on as well?

Every Christmas day when the Sherman family has finished opening our presents and enjoying the special love of this holy day I always remark: "This was the best Christmas ever!"

This is what I'm praying and hoping for all of us.
