A DIVINE EXCHANGE

This past Sunday, we opened the sanctuary to nearly 50 people for in-person worship. I'd be kidding myself by saying it was church as usual, for there was a profound energetic exchange that took place, of the likes I've not yet experienced in this new iteration and time of our world. I saw and sensed people's tears during the Eucharist - that holy time when we move from subject to object relationship with God to the full on heart-to-heart, subject to subject encounter. The yearning that I felt and witnessed from you reminded me of the Love that moves the sun and the stars, as Dante writes. It was palpable and it was real. And for that divine exchange, I give so much thanks. - Rev. Benjamin Thomas
