SEASIDE EUCHARISTS AND SPIRITUAL EMBODIMENT
This past Saturday we reconvened for YogaMass (#32!) at the beach! Blending St. Gregory’s traditions of seaside Eucharists and spiritual embodiment. The weather was glorious, the shade abounded, and the view of the ocean and horizon brought it all home. We pondered the gospel reading from Mark that I preached on this past Sunday where Jesus says, “This is but the beginning of the birth pangs.” About how constriction is necessary to birth new life. Afterward, some dear parishioners jumped in for a swim because with God all things are possible. Namaste.

I closed both YogaMass on Saturday and my sermon on Sunday with the poem Kindness by Naomi Shihab Nye.
