RECIPROCAL LOVE IN ACTION

The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) brought the tea and The Brothers brought the breakfast! What a joyful weekend it was, with the ECW Tea and fashion show on Saturday and Brothers Breakfast specifically brought back on Mother’s Day.

I love how life in Christ embodies this reciprocal feeding. It was a joy for Anna and our girls to serve at the highly anticipated return of the ECW tea on Saturday. To hear the clinking of the teacups and saucers and laughter in a beautifully packed Harris Hall was a lovely inauguration.

Thanksgiving to Rebecca Sorenson and all the ECW ladies who facilitated community and love. And on Sunday, the smell of bacon started our sensation of worship as The Brothers made a feast for the women in our lives who make all things run! Thanks to Juan Lopez and the rest for their servant leadership and their presence in what living love out loud can look like. One of my favorite quotes ever is from the South African theologian, Michael Brown, who writes, “Giving-is-receiving is the energetic frequency on which the universe is aligned.” May we walk in this love, be in this love, as Christ loves us.
