Our Choir

We often don’t realize the impact our own lives and actions have on the lives of others. Whether it's a smile we pass on or the saying of a kind word, the impact of our actions on others can have a direct or an indirect effect without us ever realizing it. At St. Gregory’s our actions as a church are felt throughout our congregation, our community and the world. The church’s various ministries affect the lives of countless people and those of us involved are often unaware of the impact  our  lives and actions are having through the work we do on a daily and weekly basis. Little did I know that the music at the 10 am service was having a transformational effect on one of our attendees, Ms. Corris Archer. Corris came to me just before the start of Advent and said that she had been attending this last year after hearing the choir while visiting the 10 a.m. service. She explained that she loved our music, was a soprano, and would love to join us for the short time she had left here in Boca as she was being transferred with her job to another state at the end of January. Needless to say, not only did our music have an effect on Corris, but Corris has had a profound effect on members of the choir and me. Her joy, her beautiful spirit, and her love for music has been an inspiration to all of us and it will be very difficult to let her go at the end of this month. She came to me this past Sunday after church with a tear in her eye, saying that she feels at home at St. Gregory’s and that it was a true blessing to be a part of the choir and the church. Corris, YOU are the blessing. You will always have a home here and we are your family.  (IMage will be emailed to you.)How are you making a difference?
