THE VON KREUTER SCHOLARSHIP FUND AND PLANNED GIVING

This past Sunday, the Rev. Heather Sisk, our former member who recently served on our vestry, was ordained a priest at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC. CLICK HERE to view the service.

I feel immense joy that St. Gregory's was part of Heather's journey to priesthood. Heather is gifted with a gentle, holy spirit and a heart full of compassion. During her final years of seminary, St. Gregory's Von Kreuter Scholarship Fund assisted with a portion of Heather's costs for attending the General Theological Seminary. This scholarship fund started over 30 years ago with a planned estate gift, has supported numerous seminarians from St. Gregory's, our diocese, and our partner diocese in Haiti and Madagascar. Many might remember that the Rev. Angela Cortinas also received support from this fund prior to her calling to serve at St. Greg's. What a tremendous difference this scholarship fund makes by supporting the next generation of servant leaders.
