NEW YEAR BEACH EUCHARIST ON JANUARY 2

St. Gregory's began our worship in the Year of Our Lord 2022 with a sunrise Beach Eucharist on January 2 at 6:30 am. We gathered in the dark and celebrated Holy Communion--truly Holy Communion--as the sun rose over the rim of the world. These quarterly pilgrimages to the beach mark the changing of the seasons and connect us in deep ways to the Spirit of Christ flowing in and through creation. As always, we had onlookers we drew near to our circle as our worship and witness to Christ unfolded. It reminded of us all the Advent and Christmas promise we read about in Isaiah:

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD

as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:9).

On this day we were filled with that glory. What a way to start the new year! What a way to make a difference!

Happy New Year!
