HELPING HOMELESS FAMILIES ACHIEVE INDEPENDENCE

Three mothers with children have achieved their own housing and employment. Come and change lives by helping those down on their luck. St. Gregory's is hosting the weeks of May 10 and May 17, our last rotation before September. Volunteers can pick from easy and discrete tasks.

Greeting. Welcoming guest families back home; assisting with the children as parents reorganize after the day's activities. At the 260 house from 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Dinner & Evening Hosts. Prepare and share a single meal with our guests one evening. Joint clean-up. Fellowship, children's activities and homework. At the 260 house from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Overnight & Breakfast Hosts. On a single night of your choice: Fellowship transitioning to nighttime preparations with children in their rooms by 9:00 p.m. Hosts retiring to awake at 5:00 to offer a light breakfast and ensure guests are ready for bus pick-up. At the 260 house from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Laundry. Pick-up, clean and return bed linens and towels.

LIGHT House Cleaning. Dust, mop, vacuum, clean bathrooms on Saturday, May 9, and/or the afternoon of May 24. Please help for one hour.

Set-up beds. Blow-up beds with automatic pump and put clean sheets on beds. 30 minutes on Sunday, May 10.

Transport beds. Transport beds (packed in bins) in van or truck to next host location - B'nai Torah Congregation on 18th Street. Sunday, May 24.
