Retired from parish ministry in New England (St. Luke’s, East Greenwich, RI), my wife, Addie, and I have settled in Delray Beach (near Addie’s mom), and began worshipping at St. Gregory’s in January of 2012. Being welcomed so warmly in this congregation and invited to participate in priestly ministry as well has been an unexpected dividend in retirement. Now licensed to officiate in the diocese of Southeast Florida, I participate in the Clergy Rotation of serving, celebrating and occasional preaching on Sundays at the altar of St. Gregory’s. After celebrating Tuesday noon Eucharist, I attend staff meetings for planning and pastoral purposes and do hospital visitations. I am a licensed Spiritual Director trained through the Christian Brothers with directees in the north who continue to connect via phone sessions, “kindling the fire within,” and am open to inquiries locally of pilgrims full of the adventure for spiritual life and living.
Addie (retired from teaching in 2010) and I have four children and eight grandchildren, all who visit from time to time bringing us great joy. We return north in the summer, worshiping at Trinity Church, York Harbor, Maine.
We find it a joy to be part of a thriving congregation committed to worshiping and serving God as we all reflect and pass on the Light of Christ.
