Here are some things to know about the Facilities Manager, Jeff Dinger. At age 10 my grandmother started dragging me to church with her, and after a few months I realized that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. I accepted Christ as my Savior and Lord and was later baptized. All my Christian mentors encouraged me to read my Bible daily and I realized that it was something that I should do, but I didn’t until I learned that less than 10% of Christians have read the entire Bible. I started during college, reading a chapter a day, a plan that takes a little over three years. I still read my Bible daily to let God speak to me through His word.
Also, as I was earning my BS in business administration, I met my wonderful wife, Julie, and after four years of dating we eloped and got married in Asheville, NC. After college I discovered I am much happier when I am working with my hands. I have been a technician working in the HVAC industry and with industrial cleaning machines. The last job I had, before accepting my position at St. Gregory’s, was on the maintenance staff at a seatbelt manufacturing facility. Julie and I have three children, the oldest, Donald, we “adopted” when he was 11 and his biological mother went to jail on drug charges. His dad was already in jail for shooting a DEA agent. The reason adopted is in quotations is his mother would only let us have legal guardianship. She felt that if she let us adopt him, it would make her a bad mother. Second is Tim, who has his degree in Biblical literature, and is serving as the Director of Youth Ministries at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Carmel, IN. He recently married his beautiful wife Caitlin. Melissa, Missy, is our youngest and she just moved back to Indianapolis with our grandson Donavan. We adopted Melissa when she was 7. She is currently working for Lawrence Township Schools, so that she and Donavan have the same schedule.
