blessings in a backpack The Backpack provides food for the weekend to children. You can make a difference by giving one hour of your time on a Wednesday, at 4:30 p.m. packing the Backpacks. Please call the office or see Deacon Anita; we would love to see you. YOU can make sure the children dont go hungry over the weekend.

family promise Our next week of service with Family Promise will be the week of February 8th. We need more volunteers to stay overnight and would be grateful to have additional volunteers for greeters, serving dinner, cleaning and shopping as well. New Youth Group Schedule
Middle School-January 4, 2009- 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with lunch.
High School- January 4, 2009 - 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Snacks only.
Camp with friends and family January 9-11, 2009 St. Gregorys Youth and their families will go camping at Oleta River State Park, located outside Miami, on January 9-11. Middle School youth and their families are invited. Senior High youth can come with their families or alone with friends. There will be chaperones for Senior High youth. Some families will go down Friday evening and stay through Sunday after a worship service. Come for all or part of the weekend. Youll need to bring a tent, sleeping bags and personal items. Let Fr. Joel know if you have cooking supplies, etc., to bring and share. The cost of $20/person will cover the cost of camping and food. Check out the campgrounds website at www.floridastateparks.org/oletariver to find out more about whats available at the campsite and to get directions. We will kayak the Oleta River on Saturday at 9:30am : Cost $11/person. RSVP to Fr. Joel by January 7th.
sleep-Out February 8, 2009 (Friday Night) high schoolers only. Sleep-Out under the stars to raise money (min. $25 per person)for The Lords Place programs. What is it like to be homeless? Find out what over 4,000 homeless individuals and families in Palm Beach County experience on any given night. Help us as we work together to end homelessness. Arrive at the church at 6:00p.m. We need to have 1 adult for every 6 youth. We will return to the church at 9a.m.on Saturday morning. |
