The new Episcopal Charities Food Bank at St. Gregory’s has distributed 50,000 pounds of free food in its first seven months of operation!! This food cuts costs for ten churches and their volunteers for over 25 church-sponsored feeding ministries between Ft. Lauderdale and Lake Worth.

IMPORTANT!! We also provide this wonderful food to senior citizens who feel a financial pinch or have medical/care expenses. Please contact your clergy or Maralee Pope 847-712-1891 to receive food parcels for the elderly.

Episcopal Charities, a certified partner of Feeding South Florida, purchases all of this food at a substantial discount and provides it for free to churches and their volunteers for feeding people in need.  Every Thursday afternoon at 4pm, volunteers from St. Gregory’s, St. Paul’s Delray, and St. Joseph’s Boynton work together to allocate and distribute this food to all these ministry volunteers.   Based upon our initial success, Episcopal Charities has authorized two additional sorting centers to serve churches elsewhere in the diocese.   If you are interested in supporting this food supply program for our churches, volunteers are always needed, and donations are welcomed by Episcopal Charities of Southeast Florida, 1750 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Oakland Park, FL 33334.
